Insanis

Tim Hox

Tim Hox has steadily made a name for himself on Revealed Recordings sister label Gemstone recently, and he makes his bow on Revealed with ‘Insanis’. The Dutch native has previously dropped impressive releases such as Noctis/Genes EP, ‘Energia’ and Patientia EP on Gemstone, and ‘Insanis’ marks a further step up in his burgeoning career, as he carves his path from ghost producer to hotly tipped artist in style.

An ominous, growling bass stab is present early in the track, joined by a snare that leads to the first drop. The beat is pumping, with fast-paced hats and synth licks that bring the energy. The main break is an epic affair, as the skippy lead evolves and opens up, working alongside otherworldly pads that build before the chaos recommences.

Tim Hox has made quite an impression since brancing out on his solo career, earning the attention of dance music hotshots such as label boss Hardwell, Blaterjaxx, Mike Williams and Futuristic Polar Bears. ‘Insanis’ is set to continue Tim Hox on that same trajectory, as he continues to rub shoulders with the best that electronic music has to offer.
