Returning to Revealed Recordings after the success of DJ Junior collab ‘Spectrum’ last month, Uruguayan rising DJ/producer Reggio this time heads out on his own with the mechanised release of new single ‘Cyberpunk’. The track is set for release 9th October and showcases all of the elements pertaining to Reggio’s self-coined “dark progressive” status.
Kicking off with an isolated, acid-flecked melody, an ominous soundscape is set while rolling snare drums build the track towards its conclusion. What follows, is a dark, assertive climax with oscillating synths, pulsing low-ends, and syncopated dubstep flavours that yearn for the mainroom dancefloors popular with Revealed fans across the globe. The track then journeys through a vocal-lead reprise, before those heavy acid tones reintroduce the powerful chorus. With last single ‘Spectrum’ finding support from the likes of Hardwell, Blasterjaxx, and Wolfpack, ‘Cyberpunk’ threatens to be no less popular with fans of big-room, progressive house.
With this year’s Revealed output performing well across streaming media, such as ‘Afterlife’ with Syzz clocking in at over 100k streams and counting, Reggio is quickly rising through the rank as one of the label’s finest contributors.
