Tim Hox returns to Gemstone with another stellar tech-house EP; this time, titled ‘Patientia’. Carving out his own lane on the Revealed sub-label, the upcoming Dutch producer further demonstrates his talents with groovy basslines, punchy drums, and energetic leads.
In ‘Morbus’, Hox pairs up a metallic-sounding vocal hook with electrifying lead synths that emulate booming horns. Bubbling arpeggiated synths build further tension in the breakdown of the track. The second track, ‘Mulier’, displays the subtler side of Hox, as he incorporates soft plucks with a droning lead bass melody. The producer also includes swirling vocal effects, which add continuity to the breakdowns and drops.
Breda-based Tim Hox is now a regular talent on Gemstone. His latest EP titled ‘Noctis/Genesis’ has gained over 100K streams on Spotify and is still going hot. Hox has been previously supported by legends such as Hardwell, Oliver Heldens, and Diplo. He was also seen last year performing during the Revealed Night at the Bootshaus in Cologne. Hox has also released on labels such as Hexagon and Positiva Records.
