The profound impact that one track can have on so many cannot be underestimated. Hardwell’s riff heavy “Apollo” was released at the end of November 2012 and was immediately identified as a track that would long out live the shelf life of your average big room roller. Laced together with a soulful hook, deep grinding bass and Amba Shepherd’s emotive lyrics, it was apparent upon its release that this track would become a firm fans favorite. Yet its legacy would become one based upon the shared memories and moments in the crowds of the festivals and club shows around the world that have been sound tracked by this anthem. At the tail end of a landmark year for Revealed Recordings, Dutch breakouts JoeySuki & Kill The Buzz make their collaborative debut for the label to wrap-up a truly intense year for the label. Where Kill The Buzz provided such landmarks as “Shake” and “Bouncing Betty” for 2013, his union with JoeySuki sees one of the label’s earliest contributors return armed with a huge release to set the New Year in positive motion. As premièred by Hardwell during Revealed’s ADE showcase at Passenger Terminal, “Life Is Calling” provides an uplifting display of how vocal dance music and peak time club play can happily coexist. True to their proven ability to bring cutting edge talent to the forefront of the global dance community, Revealed looks prepared to leave 2013 on an all-time-high and take things to the next level for the New Year ahead.
Coming December 16 on Revealed Recordings!
Beam is the debut solo release from fast rising LA based producer/DJ duo “Mako.” Consisting of Logan Light and Alex Seaver, Mako have formed a finely tuned partnership, despite coming from very different musical backgrounds. Living outside the dance music scene, Seaver studied classical music at Juilliard in New York while Light spent his evenings DJing while attending college in America’s Midwest, where he was lucky enough to open for acts like Avicii and Tiesto. The duo, whose father’s had been college roommates, met by chance in 2011 and within days were in the studio together.
After a couple of long evenings, it soon became obvious to both of them that the combination of their skills was something special. Sander Van Doorn heard an early song, “Into The Light” and immediately asked the Mako if he could have it for his next single. The track which was released as a collaboration made Top 5 on Beatport.
At EDC Las Vegas 2013, Mako met with Revealed Recordings who instantly fell in love with their production and song writing, signing them that week, to release their first solo single Beam. Revealed brought on board Dannic to mix the track. His unique abilities pull together Angel Taylor’s lead vocal with an anthemic instrumental hook to create the perfect track for clubs, festivals and radio.
Already a fan favourite and play listed at Sirius FM – Beam promises to be one of Revealed biggest records of the year.
Mako who have recently been in the studio in Los Angeles with Steve Angello and R3hab will be playing shows through the entirety of 2014.

The profound impact that one track can have on so many cannot be underestimated. Hardwells riff heavy “Apollo” was released at the end of November 2012 and was immediately identified as a track that would long out live the shelf life of your average big room roller. Yet its legacy would become one based upon the shared memories and moments in the crowds of the festivals and club shows around the world that have been sound tracked by this anthem. As such “Apollo” has taken on an identity of its own as Amba Shepherd describes.
“Apollo is a song that’s totally changed my life. Writing the melody and lyrics all came together so quickly for me the stars were aligned. It shot straight up to #1 in the Beatport in Dec but it wasn’t really until Jan or Feb when I started seeing footage from all the huge festivals with huge stadiums full of people all singing along to the song that it was becoming unbelievable. In March Hardwell came to Australia and we performed it here to hundreds of thousands at Future Music Festival in Sydney & Melbourne, then Revealed in Miami and I Am Hardwell in Amsterdam in April. To have thousands of people all singing along holding up their hands and making love hearts at us is mind blowing and so humbling. I still get hundreds of tweets weekly about Apollo – people’s pictures and tattoos! I feel so honoured to experience this reaction to my music & felt we had to do an acoustic version to strip it back to the raw foundation of the song. So I put the vocal & piano arrangement together and found amazing LA pianist and composer Evan Duffy who worked his magic and turned it into gold. I shot the video in Sydney Miami and Amsterdam together with Robin Piree we wanted to show the very personal side of Apollo unfolding over the last 12 months and my journey along with it. “
The track in its acoustic guise features during a poignant moment of the much-heralded I AM Hardwell documentary and it is able to convey raw emotive feeling with far more intent than simple spoken word. With the original having reached #1 in the Beatport chart earlier this year, the connection between the fans and this track can’t be surpassed and this stripped back acoustic version will allow the listeners to relive memories already shared and create new ones. The track features on the I am Hardwell DVD and soundtrack which is due for worldwide release on the 6th of December

Eclectic Dutch trailblazer and DJ Mag Top 100 Poll’s “highest new entry” Dyro has had a lot of reasons to celebrate throughout 2013. Off the heels of upfront club offering ‘Go Down’ and earlier collaborative landmark ‘Never Say Goodbye’, alongside new World #1 DJ Hardwell and Heather Bright, the young artist returns to Revealed Recordings armed with a brand new vocal offering to close his most prolific year to date. Fusing his signature big room sound with catchy melodic progressions, the addition of Radboud’s well-formed topline does not impede on the peak time perfection that this young talent has continued to employ throughout his trademark sound.
